Welcome to the Newcastle University Branch of UNISON!

UNISON is one of the three unions recognised by the University.  UNISON is the only union which is able to negotiate with the University on behalf of administrative and support staff on grades A-E.

This group of staff includes professional services staff in academic schools, faculty offices, research institutes and central services; estates support staff and customer services staff in residences and libraries.

Our branch also represents staff working in similar jobs in INTO and Newcastle University Students Union.  We negotiate and campaign on pay, conditions of service, job protection, and health and welfare and provide advice and support for all our members in the workplace.
